According to the publisher, this will be the biggest ever line-up presented at Gamescom. Apparently we can expect more than 220 hands-on stations, and a respectable 1,100 square meters of booth space – that’s a whole lot of booth space.
As was the case last year, Square Enix can be found in two booths at Gamescom 2016. The main booth will feature hands-on stations for the publisher’s upcoming titles, while the second booth will be dedicated to an event called Final Fantasy XIV: Battle Arena.
It’s in this second booth that gamers will be able to test their skills against all the powerful primals featured in XIV to win all kinds of fabulous prizes.
Phil Rogers, CEO Square Enix Americas and Europe, said:
At this year’s E3 we presented our biggest line-up ever. At Gamescom 2016 we will set another mark with the biggest show in our history. We are very happy to offer hands-on of these highly-anticipated titles to gamers from all over the world.
As for the games that Square Enix will be showing off at the event, we can look forward to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dragon Quest Builders, Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XV, Hitman, Kingom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and World of Final Fantasy.
I know what you’re thinking – not enough Final Fantasy. Square Enix will also be showcasing a number of PC exclusives, including The Turning Test, Tokyo Dark, Black the Fall, Oh My Godheads, and Goetia, while Deus Ex GO will be shown off for phones and tablets.
Gamescom will run from August 19 to 21, and you can bet Square Enix will have a few tricks and surprises planned, so stay tuned.
