EA Star Wars Star Wars Battlefront has become the fastest selling Star Wars game in history during its launch week according to new stats.
DICE’s online shooter has also topped UK charts – beating out games like Fallout 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
According to sales monitoring site Chart-Track, Battlefront has sold 117 per cent better than Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and become the fourth biggest release of the year. If you’re classing Star Wars Battlefront as an original game – which Chart-Track are, because it’s a reboot and not a sequel – then it’s also become the “fastest selling non-sequel Playstation 4 title ever.”
EA Star WarsBelow are the UKs top 10 games this week, but because the list doesn’t involve digital downloads you should take it with an ocean of salt.

Interesting to see Rise of the Tomb Raider as the fifth best selling game this week despite a poor marketing campaign and having to go head-to-head with Fallout 4. Maybe there’s hope for the franchise yet..
