EA have finally given some details on what their planned DLC for Star Wars Battlefront will include, though they’re still keeping pretty tight-lipped about the finer details.
Speaking in a recent earnings presentation, EA COO Peter Moore explained that the four planned DLC’s will add “new Universes” and more, over a 12-18 month period after Battlefront‘s initial release.
He said:
What we’ve announced is four extra packs over the next 12-18 months coming post launch. You’ll see new universes, you’re gonna see new player actions, obviously new weaponry as well.
EA got quite a bit of backlash after they announced the DLC would cost nearly as much as the game itself, and fans were concerned that it would simply contain parts of the main game that had been syphoned off for additional revenue.
What we do know, is that the season pass will give buyers access to the game two weeks before anybody else, and will give a special ‘shoot first’ emote to taunt other players with. No other information has been given on the DLC, but Moore did say that more details would be “coming soon”.
Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17 on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
