Nokia are well known for making invincible products – the 3310 is a marvel of engineering and will probably be used to armour our tanks when the aliens attack. Keen not to be outdone, it looks like Nintendo have made this Game Boy equally as indestructible.

A tourist on a trip to the Nintendo World Store in New York spotted the plucky little device that was apparently bombed during the first Gulf War. Dating back to around 1990, the Game Boy is on display in a glass cabinet and is miraculously still working with a copy of Tetris visible on screen.

The description with the device says:

This Game Boy was damaged when barracks were bombed during the 1990 and 1991 Gulf War. It still works!

Fair play Nintendo – Game Boy gets the job done.
