Hot off the heels of finishing up the episodic Game of Thrones and Tales from The Borderlands games, Telltale have announced they will now be working on a Batman game for next year.
The teaser trailer shown during the VGAs doesn’t give away a great deal, other than that the game will be coming in 2016. In a Telltale Blog post, staff member kenjisalk spoke a little about the game.
He said:
[The game will] give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.
The noir-esque feel to the trailer has kept people guessing about which bat-era the game could be set in. Cues taken from the batman symbol would place it somewhere between the 1966 TV show and 1977’s Batman Chronicles.
The game will première digitally on consoles, PC/Mac and mobile devices, though specifics are yet to be released.
