We might finally have a release date for the long awaited The Last Of Us Part 2, thanks to a leak from a Peruvian retailer.
I know what you’re thinking. A Peruvian retailer? What?
I agree, at this point it is completely tenuous, but a betting man would say that the game would have been aiming for a late 2019 release, and this seems legitimate enough to fit the bill.
The above image comes from a website called LawGamers, and you can see in the bottom right corner of the promotional poster there, it very clearly states an October 2019 release.
Everything we’ve heard about The Last Of Us Part 2’s release seems to point towards a late 2019 window, and as Sony don’t actually have a major title planned for this Autumn, it makes sense.
Sony recently confirmed they would not be attending this year’s E3, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have some big plans in the pipeline.
Chief among these rumours is that the PlayStation 5 is being lauded for launch as early as next year, not to mention a veritable treasure trove of unannounced games.
It’s always worth pointing out that nothing official has come from Sony or Naughty Dog about a
release for the game, so this is all still very firmly in rumour territory until further notice.
That being said, it has been a while since we heard anything concrete about the game, and the
idea what we could very well be playing it this year, is one that I’m fully willing to grasp on to.
Take me home Naughty Dog!
