The denizens of Skyrim may have lived in constant fear of civil war, bandits, religious persecution, vampires, dragons, cults, assassins, and quicksaving, but they certainly ate well.

Who hasn’t paused mid-fight with a frost troll to heartily scoff down a wheel of cheese, or perhaps slam the breaks on a one on one against a Dragon Priest to nibble on a sweetroll?

Luckily, you’ll soon be able to enjoy this delicious Elder Scrolls nosh IRL, thanks to a new cook book from the brilliant Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. She’s written a number of video game cookbooks, including ones on World of Warcraft and Hearthstone.

The Elder Scrolls: The Official Cookbook is coming out in March, and will be similarly packed with mouth-watering recipes from the beloved Bethesda franchise, boasting more than 60 recipes from across Tamriel.

Each recipe looks like it’ll be accompanied by a delicious image, just so you can see how badly your own attempt went. You can bake the perfect sweetroll, or even cook up the classic Dunmer dish of Saltrice Porridge, which you can see below.

All in all, The Elder Scrolls cookbook is sure to be the perfect piece to inspire all of my future dinner parties, proving once and for all that I can force Skyrim into even the most grown up of situations. The in-laws will never really love me at this rare.
