Free is always better. Unless it’s Flappy Bird, or a crusty old woman sidling up to you in an alley with a damp Tesco bag full of skittles, or that U2 album nobody wanted, or – well, okay, free is sometimes better.
Anyway, Sony has announced May 2016’s PlayStation Plus free games lineup, and it’s definitely evidence that free stuff can be a good thing after all.
PS Plus users with a PlayStation 4 can get their hands on the high speed arcade game Switch Galaxy Ultra, the quirky Table Top Racing: World Tour, and dictator sim Tropico 5.
PS3 owners meanwhile (yes, they still exist) can get Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and LocoRoco Cocoreccho! The former is a run and gun platformer, the latter is… well I don’t really know how to describe LocoRoco, to be honest. Have a picture instead.
Finally, anyone with a PS Vita and Plus subscription will also be able to play Switch Galaxy Ultra, and can get God of War: Ghost of Sparta for their troubles, too.
The games will be available next week when the PlayStation store refreshes. If you haven’t already, make sure you grab April’s games before they’re gone.
