Prepare yourself for an inner child excitement explosion, because a genuine, real-world Pokemon Gym is opening up in Japan.
As announced by Inside Games (via Siliconera) the wonderful, wonderful people at Sanoyas Interaction describe the Pokemon EXPO Gym in Osaka as a hands-on edutainment facility. Kids and -let’s be honest here – people in their twenties will be able to battle against each other to be the very best, like no-one ever was.
There will be areas like Charizard’s Battle Colosseum and Gardevoir’s Control Score which allow you to hone your Pokemon skills – you’ll even be rewarded with special Pokemon if you don’t suck. Happy days. There’s also going to be a companion app that can be downloaded to track your stats at the Pokemon EXPO Gym.
The Pokemon EXPO Gym will open on November 19 in Osaka, Japan. Unfortunately there’s no word on whether more will be popping up around the globe, but mixing these with the recently announced Pokemon Go could actually be the big break budding Pokemon masters have been hoping for.
