Titanfall 2 Is “Looking Fantastic” And Will Be Out Early 2017

Titanfall fans are eagerly hoovering up every scrap of news they can find regarding the sequel, currently being worked on by Respawn Entertainment. Well, now we know it should be with us before April next year, and that it’s looking pretty great.

In a post-earnings financial call today, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that he’d seen Titanfall 2 in action, and it’s “looking fantastic”.

Sadly, he stopped short of revealing any actual details on the hotly anticipated shooter. That tease. Although we should be getting something official in the coming months.

Wilson reiterated that Titanfall 2 is scheduled to launch during EA’s fiscal year 2017, which means it could come any time between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. Wilson also said that the new Battlefront and Mass Effect Andromeda will come during this time.

Wilson said:

You should assume that Battlefield will come typically in the third quarter, when we normally have it. We’re not yet announcing when Titanfall or Mass Effect Andromeda will come, but you should assume that’s in the back half of the year as well because the second quarter [July-September] is so dominated by our sports titles.

Development on Titanfall 2 was confirmed back in March 2014, and is expected to be a multi-platform title.
