Ubisoft, Xbox, and ESL – the world’s largest international eSports organisation – have teamed up to announce the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League global competition. Oh, and there are cash prizes of around £35,000 ($50,000) to be won.
Season one of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League will premier at the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, Poland on March 4. There’ll be a total of eight matches to kick off the European PC competition. Games on the Xbox One and in the North American region will commence a few weeks after.
The Pro League’s first season will feature a prize pool of roughly £70,000 ($100,000). At the end of each season, the best of the best in Europe and North America will go head-to-head against at a live event with £35,000 in prize money on the line for both the Xbox One and PC Season Finals.
