This news comes from the no doubt electrifying third-quarter financial report, in which Ubisoft basically talk about how they’ve got a fuck-ton of money, and how they plan to make a fuck-ton more by releasing new games.

When discussing the 16/17 fiscal game slate, Ubisoft said they’d be launching a “high quality line-up” which as well as Watch Dogs 2, also includes For Honor, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

A senior programmer who worked on the first Watch Dogs pretty much confirmed Watch Dogs 2 back in April last year, when he listed the game on his CV.

The first Watch Dogs was a pretty big hit, managing to ship more than 9 million copies, so it’s not that surprising that Ubisoft want more.
