Unannounced Xbox One S Special-Editions Leaked

According to a new leak, Microsoft will release special-edition Xbox One S models based on their two biggest franchises – Gears of War, and Halo.

Xbox insider @ekim_gaf revealed images of the new models via Twitter. Take a look at the 2TB Gears of War model below – complete with a lovely blood splattered controller.

The Gears bundle reportedly comes with the ultimate edition of Gears of War 4, which comes with a season pass and grants access to the game four days before public release.

Ekim revealed that the whole package will probably set you back $450 (about £340), though this is subject to change.

I should also point out that nothing here is confirmed, though Ekim has a track record of getting this kind of stuff right, having recently (and correctly) predicted July 2016’s Games With Gold lineup.

Then there’s the 1TB Halo 5 model, which is fairly less exciting in terms of appearance.

As you can see below, it’s just a standard white console with a copy of Halo 5 thrown in – no word on pricing yet, but this is presumably the cheaper alternative.

The Xbox One S will see a release in August, though it seems that only the pricier 2TB model will be coming out at first, with no official word on when the 1TB version is coming.

For anyone who’d prefer to hold out for the more powerful Xbox Scorpio (coming holiday 2017), Microsoft recently announced that they’ll be offering a program that allows you to trade in your existing Xbox One for a discount.
