Earning a Platinum Trophy in any PlayStation game is a reward in itself, but nabbing the ultimate Uncharted 4 trophy also gets you a pretty cool gift from Sony.
Obviously, if you don’t want to know what it is and would rather find out yourself, then don’t read the rest of this article. Although if you didn’t want to know, you wouldn’t be here in the first place. What are you?
Anyway, a Reddit user by the name of unique- has revealed that Sony actually send an email to the intrepid players who manage to unlock the game’s Platinum Trophy.
You’ll get the cool image below (from the collector’s edition of Uncharted 4), accompanied by a message congratulating players on their big achievement.
Strangely, some commenters on Reddit claim not to have received the email, despite bagging the Platinum. It’s not clear why, though.
Of course, earning the Platinum Trophy in any game is hardly an easy task, and Uncharted 4 is no different.
Some of the punishing requirements include you having to beat the game in under six hours, finish it on the hardest difficultly, and track down every hidden treasure across the campaign.
Players aren’t usually rewarded in additional ways for getting the Platinum in a game, so this really is one final nice touch from Naughty Dog and Uncharted.
