Uncharted 4’s Ending Will Cause Controversy, Says Director

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End marks the final chapter in Nathan Drake’s Uncharted adventure, and fans are eager to see how the story concludes.

Given the name of the game, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that at least one main character is gonna kick the bucket before the credits roll (if not Nathan Drake himself, then someone close to him).

Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann has recently stepped in to say that he reckons the game’s ending will divide fans.

Druckmann told IGN:

I think people will discuss the ending. If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending. I’m excited. Indifference would be the worst thing. I would rather have people hate it than be indifferent to it. We’ll see how they react.

Druckmann was then asked if Nathan Drake dies at the end of the game. Obviously he didn’t tell. That would be a pretty stupid thing to do.

Of course, anyone who’s played The Last of Us (also from Naughty Dog) will remember that ending, and how fans are still arguing about what went down there to this day.

However Uncharted 4 ends, at least we know there’ll be plenty of lively discussions following the conclusion. An ending that stays with you is rarely a straightforward one after all – I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
