Blizzard Entertainment announced that it’s now working with the social media juggernaut, so that players will be able to use their Facebook Login to access a slew of Blizzard games on PC, including OverwatchHearthstone, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo 3, and StarCraft 2.

Obviously, this opens the door to all kinds of shiny new possibilities. First and foremost, it’ll offer an easier way to log in to Blizzard’s games, and the company can now reach out to Facebook’s 1 billion or so active users.

In the long term, Blizzard are also looking into simple streaming ability. There’s no word yet on exactly when this will be introduced, but Blizzard says it’s working on adding “Go Live” streaming to its games.

As a result, all players would have to do is press a button and stream whatever they’re playing directly to their Facebook timeline. Technology, right?

Hopefully it won’t be long before we’re all laughing at our mate who streams Hearthstone every night despite the fact that no-one watches or cares – we’ll all have that one guy, and if you can’t think who it’ll be, it’s probably you.
