There’s been a very hard to believe rumour floating around for a while now that suggests CD Projekt RED’s fantasy RPG masterpiece The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to Nintendo Switch.
As much I adore my Switch, my first thought when I heard these rumours was that it’s very, very unlikely that a game as massive as Geralt of Rivia’s last adventure could be crammed onto the portable console.
Skyrim is one thing, but The Witcher 3? It just sounded too good to be true. Incredibly, these rumours have resurfaced once again – and there’s actual substance to the reports this time around.
The rumours first started when a French retailer listed a Nintendo version of the game alongside a port of Assassin’s Creed 3. The latter game was recently confirmed during a Nintendo Direct presentation, lending actual credence to the existence of Switcher 3 (yeah, that’s what I’m calling it, get used to it).
In an exciting new development, YouTuber Doctre81 has uncovered a job listing posted by GOG Galaxy, for a software engineer with experience on multiple platforms – including Switch.
GOG Galaxy of course is owned by none other than CD Projekt RED. Take a look at the job listing below:
While the previously leaked retail listing specifically mentioned The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there is the much more underwhelming possibility that it could simply be a port of one of the Gwent spinoff card games.
While we should take all of the above with a big old pinch of salt for now, there’s nothing wrong with dreaming dreams of exploring Skellige and Velen as the White Wolf on the go.
