WW2 Shooter Battalion 1944 Reaches Kickstarter Goal After Just Two Days

By :

Well, it’s probably safe to say that people want to play this game. Two days after launching its Kickstarter campaign, the new WW2 shooter from Bulkhead – Battalion 1944 – has already reached its goal of £100,000.

Now the goal has been met, we can expect to see the 1940s era FPS come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in May 2017. If you want to secure yourself a copy, you can head over to the Kickstarter page and pledge just £13.

Naturally, there are other tiers and rewards (including a chance to see your name in the credits). Again, you can check all of these out at the Kickstarter page.

Battalion 1944 runs on Unreal Engine 4 and aims to replicate the feel of classic FPS games like Medal of Honour, but with slick, modern production values. The multiplayer shooter will have a focus on “raw skill” and will leave behind the tedious grinding and exosuits that Call of Duty has become known for.

Check out the video below for a full explanation on stats, progressions, weapon personalisation, and how ranks work – as well as some sexy footage, of course.

At the time of writing, Battalion 1944 is currently at £110,573 on Kickstarter. Bulkhead will be announcing additional stretch goals for the game soon.
