In the midst of the Hogan/ racism scandal currently enveloping the franchise, WWE have decided to launch a trailer showing off the Governator in all his creepily-still-muscular glory. In a nod to the classic bar scene from Terminator 2, Arnie sizes up Dean Ambrose as other wrestlers and divas stand around sneering and swooning.
Schwarzenneger has spoken out about his unusual turn in 2K’s long running beat ’em up:
I was honoured to join the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year, and now I’ll continue my WWE legacy with one of my biggest film roles immortalised in WWE 2K16. Match the Terminator against Stone Cold Steve Austin, Seth Rollins or Daniel Bryan, and there’s only one possible outcome: Hasta la vista, baby!
There’s no footage of him in game or a hint at what his moveset might be, but here’s hoping he’ll enter the ring to the classic Terminator soundtrack riding a Harley a-la The Undertaker.
No word from the Compare The Market guys about whether he’ll be beating the snot out of those annoying meerkats either. Shame.
