It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: YouTube’s trending games of March 2016! I’ll wait for you all to calm down, it’s exciting, I know.
So how are these games judged? Well, the game ranking is based on “fastest growth in watch time” as well as the number of YouTubers making videos about them.
YouTube didn’t share specific numbers, so we don’t know how much better the top spot did than everything else, sadly.
As I’m sure you can imagine, The Division sits at the top of the list. It’s been nonchalantly smashing records since its release last month, so this is just another day for the Ubisoft blockbuster.
The Division is followed by Mortal Kombat X, Clash Royale, EA Sports UFC 2, and Dark Souls III. Having Dark Souls in the top five is impressive – especially considering the game isn’t even out over here yet.
I guess it’s a testament to how excited people are to get stuck in to that one.
Pokken Tournament sits just outside the top five.
Why people wouldn’t watch Pokemon fight it out more than they would boring humans (UFC 2) is beyond me, but each to their own.
The entire top ten is as follows:
- The Division
- Mortal Kombat X
- Clash Royale
- EA Sports UFC 2
- Dark Souls III
- Pokken Tournament
- Stardew Valley
- Minecraft: Story Mode
- Subnautica
- Disney Infinity 3.0
