Kim Kardashian has sparked a racism row after dressing up as a famous black woman for Halloween.
The reality TV mogul had previously paid tributes to Madonna and Cher in the build up to the October holiday.
On Saturday, however, the reception wasn’t as admirable. Kim decided to dress up as the late R&B star Aaliyah, from her Try Again video.

Donning a silver chain bra, diamante choker, tight leather trousers, matching belt and last of all, a brunette wig, the mum of two looked quite the part.
But some commenters have deemed Kim Kardashian‘s costume inappropriate.
Aaliyah was only 22 when she tragically died in a freak plane accident in the Bahamas.
She had just wrapped the music video for her upcoming single Rock The Boat.
One follower tweeted her: ‘Legend or not Aaliyah is a black woman and you’re not. It’s offensive and you shouldn’t push this limit, but ok…’
Another vented: ‘Yeah let’s just all things pass under the rug, huh? Never said it was blackface, but you can’t tell me she didn’t add a lil extra tan.’
When fans came to Kim’s defence, the critics explained why they thought it was a bad decision.
One said: ‘It’s offensive because babygirl is DEAD & you can’t pay homage when you’re an Armenian just using her look as a costume. That’s the issue.’
Another added: ‘I’ve watched enough KUWTK to be able to ‘strongly assume’ she never gave a s**t about Aaliyah or hip-hop/ and r&b culture in general.’
Come on guys, it’s just an outfit. There’s bigger problems in the world.
