USA NetworkMeghan Markle’s half-sister has today, (August 4), made yet another dig about her younger sibling, on the Duchess of Sussex’s 37th birthday.
Samantha Grant, who’s no wallflower when it comes to speaking about her sister, has taken to Twitter to have another swipe at the newly-crowned Duchess.
Samantha, who now uses the surname ‘Markle’, has made a number of claims about Meghan – and yet despite it being her birthday, she just couldn’t let things lie…
The recent chain of events started when Samantha decided to respond to the announcement Harry and Meghan would be ‘retreating from the spotlight’.
She wrote on Twitter:
OK so Cruella Deville is retreating LOL let me know how that works out for you.
She then tagged Kensington Palace – maybe she thought the royals would actually respond to her childish and nasty comments?
Just a couple of minutes later, she tweeted again to say:
There are smoke and mirrors you try to hide things with ,but you can’t hide from what you see in the mirror [sic]
Less than 15 minutes after this, she tweeted AGAIN:
any father out there knows that this is wrong. Snap out of it Witchy poo! @KensingtonRoyal
The words ‘dog’, ‘with’, and ‘bone’ spring to mind…
The series of tweets about her sister make reference to a number of reports which allege she’s ‘ignoring’ their father. She also urged Meghan to ‘step up to the plate.’
According to various reports, Mr Markle has not spoken to his daughter for two months and The Sun states he fears he’s been frozen out of the royal family, after a paparazzi picture scandal ahead of her wedding.
He’s believed to have missed the royal wedding in May due to heart problems, but Samantha was not invited.
Yet today, on Meghan’s birthday, ‘Sammy’ made another sly remark on Twitter, claiming Meghan hadn’t sent her father a birthday card for his special day on July 18.
This time, tagging Kensington Palace yet again, she wrote:
Happy Birthday Meg! It would be so lovely and appropriate of you to send DAD a BELATED birthday card for his July 18 th @Kensingtonroyal Cheers! [sic]
I mean, really? If she’s so desperate to become a part of Meghan’s life again, why is she going about it in such a horrible way?
Even if it’s not about Meghan, and she just wants to get into the royal circle – Samantha, I hate to break it to you, but this really isn’t the way to do things!

According to the Mirror, this reportedly prompted the Palace to hold crisis meetings, in order to try to plan how to stop him from piling further distress on his daughter.
Despite the ongoing saga which revolves around the Markles, sources close to the family in the United States, have revealed they still hold out hope of a reconciliation.
An apparent ‘family friend’ told the Mirror how Thomas was ‘fully expected to send Meghan a birthday card’ to mark the occasion.
They continued:
I would be amazed if he didn’t, it would be the first time in his life he hadn’t done so and he always made a big deal out of her birthday’s when she was growing up.
Hopefully she will see it and it could prove to be the catalyst of her getting back in touch with him to put everything that has happened behind them and to rekindle the relationship they once had.
PAI doubt this is going to do anything for family relations – well apart from worsen them – but Samantha has confirmed she’ll be appearing on the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother.
When asked by Inside Edition if she’d be appearing on the show, she grinned and said:
Why not. Life is about cashing in, you… take opportunities as they arise and hopefully you enjoy the ride.
And you can make it as positive as you can, there’s nothing wrong with it. The purpose of that show would not be to discuss [Meghan].
Whatever you say Samantha, we believe you! Cough, cough.
