If you could modify the Christmas advent calendar, what would you do? Maybe make it cheese-based? If so, boy are you in luck!
ASDA are releasing their own cheese advent calendar for the finer customer out there.
It’s set to feature 24 individually wrapped cheeses in 5 different varieties such as Applewood, Mexicana, and Jarlsberg.
Blogger Annem Hobson, the brains behind the contemporary take on the calendar revealed to The Hook:
Cheese. I love it. I’d go as far as saying I love it more than chocolate.
After searching high and lo and discovering there shockingly wasn’t already one on the market, I launched a campaign after creating one handmade prototype last Christmas.
The response was overwhelming with over 11,000 of you cheese lovers signing up to get one in 2017.
After a busy year of figuring out packaging, wrapping my head around contracts, retailers, trademarks and more, I’m thrilled to announce that they will be on sale in Asda stores nationwide!
Speaking of cheese and ASDA, the shopping giants recently released the ultimate cheesy chips pizza, much to the delight of stoners across the country.
The 13.5 inch pizza only sets you back £4.50 which I think is a fair deal?
You could just get a cheaper margherita and then put some chips on top but hey, let’s not poop at the party.
An ASDA spokesperson said:
We know the nation has a soft spot for cheesy chips – it’s an undeniable guilty pleasure that deserves to be honoured and what better way than on top of a pizza?
If you’re looking for the ultimate indulgence to create the perfect ‘big night in’, look no further.
If food isn’t really your thing, (when it comes to advent calendars, I mean – I’m not endorsing abstaining from food), then there’s a gin calendar for all you semi-alcoholics out there!
To kick-start the month, you’ll receive a full-sized bottle of gin before receiving a variety of tonics to open each day in the lead up to Christmas.
Behind the windows, there are a range of branded tonics, including Fever Tree and Fentimans, Double Dutch, Franklin and Sons, Bottlegreen and London Essense.
It’s not just standard tonic either, there’s a range of flavours to compliment the gin – including pomegranate and basil, cinnamon, tangerine, and cucumber and watermelon.
Fuck it , I'm guna buy the £100 gin advent calendar!!!

Can I really justify spending £100 on a Gin advent calendar? ? 1 Gin a day for 25 days is pretty convincing

The calendar is now available from The Pip Stop for pre-order and it costs £99 – which is fairly steep compared to what you’d usually spend on an advent calendar, but think of the cold glasses of G&T.
If gin isn’t your thing, The Pip Stop are also selling a whole range of Christmas gifts, including whiskey baubles, vodka baubles and wine advent calendars.
And if that wasn’t enough, Aldi are bringing out their own wine advent calendar – and at a considerably less insulting price.
The collection caters to all palette’s, with a mix of red, white, rose and fizz included.
The calendar costs £49.99 – which is pretty good going when you consider it contains the equivalent of six full bottles.
The Aldi calendar was created in collaboration with a number of wine giants, including JP Chenet and Calvet and contains vino from France, Italy and Spain.
14 November is saved as the day for Aldi's release of a bargain alcoholic advent calendar

Those partial to a bit of adult grape juice can expect to find a jolly range of alcoholic treats, ranging from Merlot to Chablis.
Calendars will be hitting shelves 1 November.
Remember, if you’re going to drink, do so responsibly!
