‘Curvy’ Wife Of ‘Mr-Six-Pack’ Reveals Abuse She Received For Swimsuit Photo

Love is something which is more than skin deep, it’s about connections and compatibility one has with their partner which go beyond aesthetics.

Scoff at this notion all you like but deep down, you know its true and if you’re insisting it’s not, it might explain the reason as to why all your previous relationships last about as long as good weather in Britain – not long.

For those uninitiated in the language of love, it may be a tough concept for you to grasp, which is probably the reason why a wedding photographer has been receiving abuse from internet trolls after she got married to her ‘Mr-Six-Pack’ of a husband.

29-year-old Jenna Kutcher, is proud of her figure – and so she should be –  and posted a series of photos on her Instagram page of her and her husband Drew.

However, instead of saying anything nice about the couple, internet trolls took the opportunity to body shame Jenna.

One comment, in particular, took aim at the fact ‘they couldn’t believe [she] had managed to land a guy as good looking’ as her husband.

New flash fools: looks aren’t everything.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle Jenna explained how that message in particular affected her confidence and brought up past insecurities.

However, instead of letting the trolls get the better of her, Jenna flipped the script and is facing them head-on – she posted pictures of her and Drew this week walking on a sandy beach in Hawaii, both sporting swimsuits.

In the caption she wrote:

Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed from being married to Mr Six-Pack himself. Why should I, a curvy girl, get him? I feel unworthy and when I write narratives in my head that because I am not thin, I don’t deserve him.

This man has embraced every curve, every dimple, pound and pimple for the last ten years and has always reminded me that I’m beautiful even when my inner dialogue doesn’t match (and when I haven’t showered in days.).

So yes, my thighs kiss, my arms are big, and my bum is bumpy, but there’s just more of me for him to love and I chose the man that could handle alllll that (and so much more!).

Jenna continued:

I’ve struggled my whole life to love my body, something that started when I was a gymnast at a young age.

I think deep down, as women, our biggest fear is that we aren’t enough, that our bodies are broken, and after walking through two losses, I was really struggling to ‘come home’ to my body.

Body shaming is not only regulated to those with a bigger frame, those with a slim figure are lambasted for their look too.

Even someone as popular as Kylie Jenner has been body shamed in the past after she posted pictures of herself posing in a bikini, post-pregnancy.

Jenna credits Drew for playing a big role in getting over her past insecurities, saying:

Drew is a babe. I know that, I see that, I love that and to me, he’s the most handsome man on the planet. Since I’ve always struggled with weight, it’s sometimes hard being married to a man with muscles and a six-pack.

I see the way people stare at him on the beach and the narrative in my head sounds like, ‘Why should you deserve a man like him? You’re fat, he should be with someone so much better looking.’

I tend to write stories for what I believe people are thinking — when, in reality, I know they probably aren’t thinking a thing.

I think that he helps me, he sees me beautiful on the days when I don’t shower or change out of my high school sweatpants, which, let’s be honest, is most days. And he reminds me of my worth and beauty. But beyond that, I’ve had to really find that within.

I don’t think it’s safe or healthy to rely on someone else for acceptance and so, as I’ve grown my empire of a business, I’ve had to learn how to put myself first so that I can pour into others.

Body shaming is just another form of bullying, which can have serious effects on one’s mental health.

This can lead to many drastic and often dark roads and not everyone is fortunate to be in Jenna’s position where she can have someone like Drew to turn to in dire straits.

Sometimes, even having someone there for you may not be enough.
