FacebookA Facebook account supposedly owned by Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s son gives a rare insight into the world of Mexican drug cartels.
The page, which appears to be linked to 32-year-old Ivan Guzman, shows a stream of images featuring guns, money, cars and exotic animals. Shortly after El Chapo Jr’s drug lord father escaped from prison the Facebook page posted this message, Vocativ reported:
Ivan Archiivaldo Guzman is El Chapo’s eldest son. He was arrested in 2005 but authorities were forced to release him due to lack of evidence.
While fans reportedly do make Facebook pages for Mexican drug cartel members, this particular page is consistent with cartel activity in several places, and feature images that also appear on a Twitter account associated with Ivan.
