Fitness Model Body Shamed On Instagram For Disgusting Reason

Courtney Black became a viral sensation following her amazing fitness transformation, but sadly in the world of social media trolls are always lurking.

The 20-year-old has fought from the brink of a serious eating disorder to achieve a healthy lifestyle and physique, but a recent post brought out the keyboard warriors from under their bridges.

One of her latest videos shows how far she has come…

Courtney explained the extreme measures she used to take in a bid to be skinny:

On a typical day, I would wake up at about 5am and go to the gym before work for an hour session. I would run at least 8 miles and then do an excessive amount of sit-ups and crunches,” Courtney explained.

At lunch, I would go to the gym again for another hour cardio workout. I would skip dinner but I would snack on an apple or low-fat yoghurt if I was desperately hungry.”

Honestly I don’t know how I had the energy to exercise on such a poor diet. I honestly believed I wasn’t skinny enough.

What a turnaround – sadly not everyone has given her credit for the transformation Courtney deserves…

One commenter on Instagram wrote ‘This is really sad, she looked so much better before’, while another added ‘You looked better before’, reports the Daily Star.

But Courtney, who used to weigh a shocking 6st 9lbs, refuses to let the hate win and is instead focusing on her efforts to inspire other women to avoid dangerous habits.

She is quoted by the Star as saying:

It can be hurtful when people tell me that I looked better in my before photo when I was dangerously underweight with my bones visible.

Of course I get upset sometimes about what people say. But I know that to keep motivated and help others, I can’t let the online bullies stop me.

Of her transformation she added:

At first, it was a slow process as I was scared of certain foods and it was terrifying to see how I was putting on weight.

But as I got over my fears, I slowly reduced the excessive amount of cardio exercise that I was doing, began to introduce carbs into my diet and upped my calories.

Striving to be skinny is in no way maintainable or good for you. I’ve embraced my curves now and realise how attractive they are.

Way to go Courtney, and keep spreading the good word!
