GettyA batch of the popular gin Bombay Sapphire has been recalled after it was found to contain nearly twice the amount of advertised alcohol.
The batch, which is believed to have only been sold in Canada, was bottled before reaching the correct dilution to achieve the stated 40 per cent alcohol by volume.
The affected batch contained 77 per cent alcohol content by volume! A lot of people didn’t see the problem at all.
And this is a problem because…? I mean it's Gin, so it's not like it tasted any worse… (God I miss Bombay sapphire…)

Canadian officials have urged anyone who bought a 1.14 litre bottle of the spirit not to drink it, but return it for a refund.
Luckily there has been no known illness as a result of the error, but people are being heavily encouraged to return them.

Canadian Food Inspection AgencyBacardi, who own the Bombay Sapphire brand, told CBC news:
We do not recommend consumption of this product.
I can’t imagine anyone who finds one of these is going to hand it back in.
