To find out why you should definitely stop delving in the devil’s dandruff (sugar), then all you really have to do is realise that one can of Coca Cola is 16g above the daily recommendation for sugar in order to live a healthy life, reports the Daily Star.

A full bottle of coke on the other hand packs 16 teaspoons of sugar. Imagine eating 16 teaspoons of sugar?!

As if that wasn’t bad enough rogue researchers have found that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) – used in Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew and Sprite – causes erectile dysfunction by damaging arteries in the penis.

If you need more reasons to stop drinking sugary drinks then look no further than the fact that if you drink sugary drinks you have an 80 per cent bigger chance of developing type 2 diabetes and a larger chance of developing dementia later in life due to swelling in the hippocampus.

Fizzy drinks can even result in damage to the liver such as cirrhosis, as well as eroding your teeth and bones – mmmhm.

Some people are addicted to sugar, or at least subject to serious cravings.

Many describe feeling much healthier after they have cut out soda and other obvious sources of sugar in their diet.

The high levels of sugary drinks currently being consumed by many adults and kids in the UK is contributing to major health problems.

These include rotten teeth, obesity in children and adolescents (associated with low self-esteem, bullying and mental health problems) and obesity in adults (causing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, dementia, strokes and common cancers).

So as you can probably tell you should definitely try and cut sugary drinks from your diet.
