Actor and comedian Johnny Vegas has come along way since doing PG Tips adverts with a monkey sock puppet. Furthermore, his latest look will astound those who have been following his career form the very start.

The Benidorm star shared a selfie on Twitter and while it’s a look we are not used to, we have to admit he looks amazing.

The 47-year-old cuts a slimmer figure in his latest photo and it’s all thanks to his new diet plan.

As well as sharing a photo of his new look his followers got to see what Vegas was eating for breakfast, which consisted of avocado, scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Very 2018/hipsterish if you ask me, but it’s good to see him take his health seriously.

Despite his new healthy lifestyle, he wasn’t ashamed to admit he missed indulging in a good old fry-up.

In his Twitter post the Lancashire funnyman wrote:

It’s a far cry from a Thatto Heath fry up….ooh you’ve changed Vegas.
Apologies fellow tweeters, busy of late and treating our chats like a bacon butty, sadly an all too rare a treat of late x

However, in spite of his new diet plan, he still enjoys the odd pint or two as proven by his follow-up posts which show him enjoying a pint of Guinness, nothing wrong with that to be honest.

Fans of the comedian were pleased to see him in good health.

Cathrine Cassell told Mr Vegas:

Wow you look amazing, well done you! I take it you are following a low carb healthy fats way of eating? #lchf

While Julie Stuchbury said:

You look great mate. I know how hard it is to lose weight, you definately have it in your head now, as do i. So keep it up. Us Saints fans have to stick together. #healthyeating #notadiet #COYS #memoriesofknowsleyroadandyou [sic]

Last year in September, Vegas’ father tragically passed away after losing his battle with cancer. During an emotional interview on ITV’s Loose Women, the comedian declared his support for Macmillan and their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign.

At the time he admitted he hadn’t fully come to terms with his dad’s passing, he said:

I keep saying to friends I haven’t had The Cry yet. If I’m really honest, I think I’m angry with him for going as quickly as he did. I don’t accept his death. I feel guilty that I don’t think about him on a daily basis, but it’s only because I don’t want to accept that he’s gone.

We had a very lucky period of about 20 years where we didn’t lose anyone, and I think you get into a frame of mind that they’re going to be around forever. And then when it happens, there’s just a gap that you can’t fill.
