One brave man has decided to go on a self described ‘poo marathon’, using as many London toilets as he possibly can before he’s given a ‘bionic bumhole’ (his words, not mine).

Paul Silver, 32, plans to enjoy the facilities at Harrods, the Royal Albert Hall and the Houses of Parliament after already kicking off his grueling challenge at The Shard.

And the best bit? He’s getting sponsored to do it! Paul, who suffers from Crohn’s disease (a type of inflammatory bowel disease) is doing his fund raising number twos ahead of an operation which will sew his arsehole up forever, Vice reports.

He’s now blogging his experience, and the places he’s spent a penny at including, rather unusually, the National Centre for Circus Arts.

Speaking to Vice he said:

From what I gather, they’re literally sewing it up shut, so I’ll be a Ken doll from behind. From the front I’m 100% normal and functioning.

He’s due to have a permanent ileostomy on April 21, and the operation will see his large bowel removed, his anus sewn shut and his small bowel attached to the side of his torso with a stoma attached.

Paul’s experienced years of misery with his condition, which causes severe constipation or diarrhoea, and said he is ’75 per cent positive’ about the procedure.

Paul’s explained that his ‘marathon’ was making the next three weeks before his op, which were going to be ‘filled with anxiety and uncertainty, a bit of fun’.

He then went on to say why he was blogging his toilet trips:

I look at it like this: I lost my dignity a long time ago; I’ve had all these procedures done to me, like colonoscopies, and when it comes to this activity I don’t have any dignity left, and I’m glad that’s gone because I can have fun with that now.

He was even brave enough to have some photos taken in the disabled toilet in the Shard. Which the cleaner was less than pleased about.

Paul wrote in his blog that the shocked woman shouted: ‘Oh no you don’t! Not in here you don’t! Get OUT! None of that here.’

All the money Paul  going to a good cause, the Crohn’s and Colitis in Childhood charity and so far he’s raised more than £1,700 . You can sponsor him on his JustGiving page.
