Kaylee Moats is one in a million. Quite literally. The Northern Arizona University graduate has no vagina.
When she reached the age of 18, Kaylee went to a gynaecologist as she had never had a period. There, a stunned doctor found that she had no uterus, cervix, vagina or vaginal opening.
The condition Kaylee was born with is known as Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome but she is not allowing it to define her.
Understandably, Moats was utterly heartbroken upon learning the news, mostly due to the fact she was told she could not have children – however now Kaylee is trying to raise money for surgery which would completely change her life.
Speaking with Barcroft TV, Kaylee revealed just what it’s like living with no vagina:

The surgery, which would create a vaginal opening allowing Kaylee to have an intimate relationship with her partner, has a 96 per cent success rate – however, it is also incredibly pricey, costing around $15,000 dollars.
Using a GoFundMe page to raise the funds necessary, Kaylee hopes to have the surgery in the near future so that she can lose her virginity to her boyfriend Robbie – who says he is not interested in sex.
Speaking about her relationship, Kaylee said:
I met Robbie in my senior year of college when I was working at the front desk. He thought I was cute so he came up to me and we started talking since.
It took about a month for me to tell him that I have MRKH. He was confused at first but supportive and said that it doesn’t change how he see’s me.
He doesn’t really focus on the sexual side of our relationship because we can’t do anything since I don’t have a vaginal opening.
But I am looking forward to having a sexual relationship. I’m not sure If I want to wait until marriage but I think having that option there is a lot more comforting.
I’m a bit nervous to have sex for the first time after surgery because I’m not sure if something is going to go wrong down there or if it’s going to hurt.
Interestingly, although Kaylee has never had a full period – her body still ovulates just like any other woman, however instead of bleeding she gets cramps and the blood dissolves into her ovaries.
Speaking about awkwardness surrounding her condition, Kaylee added:
It was hard being around people in high school and college when the girls would bring up their periods or talk about their pregnancies and kids.
I would always wonder like where do you even put your tampon if I were to start my period since I couldn’t see where I could put it in down there.
A lot of the time they didn’t know I had the condition so if someone asked if I had a tampon I would just say no and kept quiet.
However, Kaylee isn’t backing down. Not only is she well on the way to having her surgery and beginning a journey of sexual experimentation, but she is also planning on starting a family.
Kaylee’s younger sister and numerous friends have all offered to become a surrogate for the Arizona woman – and she has said that if things don’t go to plan she will also look into adoption.
