Remembering Those Who Were Lost To The Manchester Terror Attack

Courtney Boyle, 19 and her stepfather, Philip Tron, 32, are the latest victims to be named from Manchester’s terror attack on Monday night.

They had both gone to the venue to collect Courtney’s sister, 14-year-old Nicola Boyle, who attended the concert.

Nicola managed to escape, reports the Mirroryet Courtney and Philip were confirmed dead this morning.

Nicola paid tribute to her sister and step-father: 

Courtney, my wonder of a sister, who is now a shining yellow star in the sky.

Phil, my stepdad, my Costa buddy, you were always there no matter what to keep me safe and make me happy.

I am heartbroken beyond belief. I have lost my best friend and confident Wendy Fawell. A beautiful, lady who I will have treasured memories of. Nite god bless sweetheart. Love ❤ you to the moon and back xxxx

Wendy Fawell, 50 

50-year-old Wendy, a mother from Yorkshire, was reportedly at the Ariana Grande concert with her daughter and friends, according to the Metro.

After a Facebook appeal to try and find her, a friend of Wendy’s broke the news on the social media site, paying tribute to her ‘best friend’.

The off duty police officer was killed on Monday night when she attended the MEN with her husband Paul and their two children.

A family statement that was released expressed their love for their ‘much loved daughter, sister, auntie, friend and colleague’ according to The Independent.

The statement continued:

Despite what has happened to her, she would want us all to carry on regardless and not be frightened by fear tactics, instead she regularly urged us all to rise up against it.

Elidih MacLeod, 14

14-year-old Eilidh MacLeod, from Scotland was confirmed dead in a statement released by her family reports the BBC.

She was attending the Ariana Grande concert with her friend, 15-year-old Laura MacIntyre, who is reportedly in hospital with serious injuries.

The statement read:

Our family is devastated and words cannot express how we feel at losing our Eilidh.

She loved all music, whether it was listening to Ariana or playing the bagpipes with her pipe band.

As a family, we would like to express our thanks and gratitude for the support and kind messages we have received at this difficult time.

Liam Curry 19, Chloe Rutherford, 17

The teenage couple, from South Shields, were killed together during the terror attack at the MEN arena.

Their families described the pair as ‘inseparable’ reports the BBC and ‘perfect in every way for each other’.

The statement continued:

They wanted to be together forever and now they are.

Jane Tweddle-Taylor, 51

The receptionist from Blackpool was killed as she waited for her friends children at the Ariana Grande concert.

Her friend and the children survived the attack according to the BBC.

51-year-old Jane was described by her colleagues as a ‘truly wonderful friend who will never be forgotten‘.

Sorrell Leczkowski, 14

14-year-old Sorrell from Leeds, died at hospital in Manchester with her mother and grandmother at her side according to the Mirror.

Sorrell was a pupil at Allerton High and the Yorksire Post have reported that her Grandmother is critically ill.

Megan from Merseyside, was killed by the suicide bomber and a Just Giving page was set up in order to help the young girl’s family.

Donations have exceeded the £3,000 mark and are currently over £6,000 with the Just Giving page reading:

Michelle Kiss, 45

The mother-of-three from Lancashire was killed when the suicide bomber targeted concert goers at the MEN arena.

Her niece Laura Murray confirmed the devastating news on Facebook writing:

It’s true. Thank you everyone for your help, we are all heartbroken.

Nell Jones, 14

Nell Jones from Cheshire was described as a ‘lost sister, not classmate’ by her teacher at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School reports the BBC.

Fellow pupil Freya Lewis was also hurt but is said to be stable after 10 hours of surgery.

Martyn Hett, 29

The 29-year-old PR manager from Stockport was at the Ariana Grande show with friend, Stuart Aspinall – but the two became separated at the end.

Martyn’s death was confirmed by his boyfriend Russell Hayward, who tweeted:

We got the news last night that our wonderful, iconic and beautiful Martyn didn’t survive. He left the world exactly how he lived, centre of attention. I’m in a really bad way so please forgive if I don’t reply.

Thankfully I have his wonderful and amazing friends to keep each other strong. I love you Martyn. I always will.

A social media campaign had been started to find Martyn, with comedian Jason Manford also appealing for help, tweeting: ‘Friend of my family is still missing. He’s called Martyn Hett, he was wearing a retro shirt and has a Deidrie Barlow tattoo on his ankle/calf.’

More victims of the attack have been named overnight by grieving friends and family.

Angelika and Marcin Klis, 40 and 42

Polish couple Angelika and Marcin Klis have been confirmed dead by the Polish foreign minister, after their daughter, Alex launched a tireless search on social media yesterday.

The York student wrote:

Anyone who is in any safe place or hospital in Manchester, if anyone comes across my parents please, please let me know as they’ve been missing ever since the attack.

Olivia Campbell, 15

Olivia Campbell‘s mother, Charlotte, has confirmed the death of her 15-year-old daughter, sharing a tribute to the ‘precious’ youngster on Facebook in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Alongside a photo of Olivia Charlotte wrote on Facebook: “RIP my darling precious gorgeous girl Olivia Campbell taken far far to soon go sing with the angels and keep smiling mummy loves you so much.”

Alison Howe, 44, and Lisa Lees, 43

Alison Howe (left) and Lisa Lees (right), from Oldham, were killed in the foyer when the killer Salman Abedi detonated his bomb as they waited to collect their children from the show.

Alison’s stepson Jordan Howe confirmed the tragedy on Facebook writing: “They took a caring beautiful mum and step mother away from us all she was amazing to us all.”

Kelly Brewster, 32

Brave Kelly Brewster was killed when she shielded her young niece from the blast.

Kelly, an office worker from Sheffield had put down a deposit on a new home with her partner, Ian Winslow, just one day prior to the attack, her partner’s father told MailOnline.

John Atkinson, 26

True gentleman‘, 26-year-old John Atkinson, from Bury, was the third victim announced dead after the Manchester terror attack.

Tributes are being paid to the Bury man on social media and his friends and family have described him as an ‘amazing young man’ and ‘a beautiful soul’.

Saffie Rose Roussos, 8

Saffie – ‘a beautiful little girl, loved by everyone’ according to her headteacher – is the youngest victim of a terror attack in Britain. She was the second confirmed fatality.

Her mother Lisa and Saffie’s sister are both currently in intensive care being treated for shrapnel injuries. Reportedly neither know about the death of their daughter and sister.

Georgina Callander, 18

Georgina Callander, a college student and Ariana Grande super-fan was the first named fatality of this heinous atrocity. Georgina was described by a friend as ‘a beautiful girl with the kindest heart and soul’.

The teenager had tweeted on Sunday that she was ‘so excited’ to see her pop idol.
