Sorry guys, we have some bad news for you.

A deadly planet is going to smash into Earth ‘like a wrecking ball’ before the year is even out, destroying life as we know it.

Well that’s what conspiracy fans Breaking Israel News claim anyway. They believe that a mystical ‘extra’ planet in our solar system, Nibiru, will reappear and kill us all.

To be fair, scientists at Caltech did recently spot signs of a ninth planet,  so who knows? Could we all be doomed?

Sorry to spoil this, but no, no we’re not.

A video by Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson claimed that Nibiru is definitely incoming, with another Rabbi linking it to the mystical text called the Zohar. Sounds totally legit, right?

According to that, the planet is due on ‘the 25th day of the six month’ and the 25th day of Elul falls on September 28 this year. Better get that date pencilled into your diary (or not).

Don’t panic though, these sort of predictions seem to come along and change every time it doesn’t happen. Nibiru was supposed to hit our planet in December last year, and before that in September.

We can go even further back, actually. You might remember the 2012 end of the world predictions, it was supposed to happen then too. Oh, and in 2003 as well.

NASA were quick to call bullshit on the Nibiru myth a few years back on its Beyond 2012 page, saying:

Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye.

Well that clears that up, I wouldn’t cancel any of your future plans just yet.
