The latest Marvel film has only been in cinemas for a matter of hours, but the desire to see the superheroes getting down and dirty has already gone through the roof as Pornhub searches spike.
From the newly appointed Captain Marvel to old timers like Hulk and Iron Man, there’s a whole host of Avengers characters who make an appearance in Endgame.
I’ve not actually seen the film yet, but I imagine they all have their time in the spotlight as they try to defeat Thanos, each showing off their strength, power and, conveniently, incredibly well-sculpted bodies.
Most fans are likely to have a favourite Avenger, but clearly some are more invested in their preferred characters than others when it comes to watching them on screen.
The massive increase in Pornhub searches peaked on April 19, on the run-up to Endgame’s release. A graph released by the site shows searches increased by a staggering 2912 per cent when compared to the average number of searches recorded earlier in the month.
To help put that into perspective, that’s an additional two million searches in just over seven days.
Searches dropped again after April 19, but I’m sure the release of the film will have encouraged many people to head back to their laptops for some additional viewing.
As well as the overall Avengers-related statistics, the site looked into which of the characters were most popular.
Since Captain Marvel was introduced into the MCU with her origin story, which was released earlier this year, Carol Danvers has become the most popular Avenger on Pornhub. The character beat out the previous winner, Black Widow, by triple the amount of searches.
Natasha Romanova, aka Black Widow, is now in second place, followed closely by Spider-Man.
Hulk came in fourth place, as people presumably want to see if he’s just as ‘incredible’ in the bedroom, while Captain America followed just behind him in fifth place.
Also in the top ten were Scarlet Witch, Gamora, Thor, Iron Man and Black Panther.
The rankings may shift as more people head to the cinema and find out exactly what their favourite characters get up to in Endgame, so Captain Marvel could still be knocked from the top spot yet.
Even if the final instalment of the Infinity Saga leaves people feeling at a lose end, at least they can turn to Pornhub to watch a few extra minutes of the characters in action!
