Hollywood couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are no stranger to trolling each other on social media, in fact, they’re famous for it.

However, their latest exchange isn’t exactly the usual fun banter you’d expect from the superstar couple.

Their very NSFW conversation is something entirely different and will certainly leave you blushing…

Wanting to show his wife some support for her new film, A Simple Favour, in the only way he knew how, Reynolds put out a very naughty tweet.

Retweeting the upcoming movie’s Rotten Tomatoes rating which certifies the film as ‘fresh’, Reynolds accompanied this with the caption:

This movie cured me of my virginity. See it this weekend!

Of course Reynolds’ fans once again showed they enjoy his mischievous sense of humour, retweeting it over 19,000 times – at time of writing (September 15).

But Lively couldn’t let her husband have the last laugh and so decided to tweet back something even funnier than Reynolds’ original post.

She wrote:

?♥️?? (No that’s not emoji climaxing. I just really like eggplants. Pyrotechnic ones.) [sic]

Sure thing Blake, sure thing.

Of course, this playful Twitter interaction made the internet lose their cool, with fans once again gushing over the couple in the replies section.

One person commented what we all were thinking:

Third child pleeeeeaaaaaseeeeeee. [sic]

While another user enthusiastically replied to the couple’s tweets writing:

Seriously… you guys – relationship goals. [sic]

Another fan couldn’t agree more tweeting:

THE best couple ever and nothing will never change that. [sic]

You can watch a trailer for Lively’s upcoming film A Simple Favour, based on the 2017 novel of the same name, below:

While we all joke Lively and Reynolds’ online banter makes them the dictionary definition of ‘couple goals’, there are actually studies which can prove this.

Doctor Jeffrey Hall, an associate professor at the University of Kansas, has conducted 39 studies across the last 30 years which involved over 15,000 people.

He concluded how not only is humour important when it comes to building a strong relationship, but you should find a partner who shares your same sense of humour to get the best results.

Hall confirmed his findings in a statement writing:

People say they want a sense of humour in a mate, but that’s a broad concept. That people think you are funny or you can make a joke out of anything is not strongly related to relationship satisfaction.

What is strongly related to relationship satisfaction is the humour that couples create together.

Say you and your partner share a quirky sense of humour, but romantic comedies or sit-coms do nothing for either of you… It’s not that any style or a sense of humour is any better or worse.

What matters is that you both see quirky humor as hysterical. If you share a sense of what’s funny, it affirms you and affirms your relationship through laughter.

So Lively and Reynolds really are the perfect couple then!

A Simple Favour will hit UK cinemas September 20.
