The footage, which has been dubbed ‘shocking’, captured the moment the unidentified little boy was forced to cling to
his mum’s boot as she drives away from a park.
The clip, filmed by a witness in Zhudong Township in north-western Taiwan’s Hsinchu County, shows the boy and his parent locked in a distressing back-and-forth as he’s desperate to get in the car and she chases him away.
The wailing boy can be heard repeating:
Mum, I won’t do it again. I really, really won’t.
Yet the mum refuses to let him in the car and threatens to drive off, leaving the boy climbing onto the back of the car, the video shows.
He raps on the boot as his mum starts to drive away and then gets out to chase him off with an umbrella.
The desperate boy returns to his mum’s car again when she climbs into the driver’s seat, only to be chased away once more by his parent, who flings the umbrella at him.
The nearly three-minute clip ends with the boy holding onto the car boot as his mum drives off slowly before repeating the chase again.
Zhudong Township police said the mum had brought her son and his two siblings to Zhongzheng Park but decided to end their play time early as it started raining and she needed to bring in their laundry.
The boy, however, apparently refused to go home and wanted to stay at the park – so his mum ordered him to stay there on his own.
Hsinchu’s Department of Social Welfare have promised to look into the incident in order to determine whether there was any wrongdoing on the parent’s part.
Meanwhile, a father has made a controversial parenting move to punish his son, who was accused of bullying school peers.
Bryan Thornhill forced his 10-year-old son to run a mile to school, in the pouring rain, after finding out he was bullying people on the school bus.
The angry dad took a video from inside his car of his son running outside in the rain:

Hey everyone, welcome to ‘You better listen to your Dad 2018’.
My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully which I do not tolerate, cannot stand.
Therefore, he has to now run to school, we’re right about one mile from the school so all week he’s got the experience of running.
What do you think about these parenting techniques?
