This is the moment a cheering crowd rallied behind a busker and showered him with tips after a woman verbally abused him in the street.
The unnamed busker was approached by a woman on crutches during his rendition of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry in Liverpool city centre, who then apparently tried to stop him from playing, the Daily Mail reports.
But she didn’t manage to stop him and, if anything, drew more attention to him, as more and more people pile in to give him cash.
John Baxter Walker, who posted the footage online, claimed he was told by people at the scene that the woman was unhappy about the volume of the music – but it seems the crowd disagreed.
The pair are seen talking for a few minutes before the busker gestures to the woman to go away.
That’s when the crowd gets involved, by offering the man support and throwing coins at his feet.
One woman says to the lady: “Leave him alone, he’s trying to make some money. Go away,” before another young lad shouts: ‘get out, get out.’
Eventually, she walks away from the busker and confronts two of the crowd, who also seem to tell her to do one.
Faith briefly restored in humanity.
