2016’s been a rough year for celebrity deaths and it seems that sometimes people struggle with letting go of their favourite celebs.
The Mirror has compiled an exhaustive list of the top celebs who many speculate faked their deaths and are, in fact, still alive and well.
From Tupac to James Dean, conspiracy theorists will do anything to hang on to their favourite celebrities.
Here’s a few of the most ludicrous…
Tupac Shakur
Tupac was infamously shot and killed while at traffic lights in Las Vegas, but many fans believe that the rapper never actually died.
They speculate that the California Love star faked his death to escape a prison sentence and that he’s actually living in Cuba with his aunt.
Interestingly, Suge Knight, who drove Tupac that night, also claims the star is alive.
He said:
Why you think nobody been arrested if they said they the one killed Tupac…Because Tupac not dead. Tupac not dead, n****. If he was dead they’d be arresting those dudes for murder. You know he somewhere smoking a Cuban cigar on an island somewhere.
Paul Walker
The Fast and Furious star died in a terrible car crash after he left an event for his charity Reach Out Worldwide.
Fans, however, believe they’ve since spotted the actor hanging around in Hollywood.
The theory is that producers convinced the star to fake his death to help promote the Fast and Furious franchise, which seems a bit extreme.
Kurt Cobain
The Nirvana singer took his own life in 1994 after he shot himself in the head.
Not willing to accept his death though, many fans believe that it was in fact an elaborate plan to escape Courtney Love.
James Dean
The iconic actor James Dean died in a head on collision but conspiracy theorists believe that he secretly survived. They claim that the damage done to the car was too light for a high-speed crash and wouldn’t have killed the driver.
Instead, they believe he survived but was left permanently disabled by the accident, and studio bosses feared that an injured James Dean wouldn’t draw in crowds but that his death would turn him into a legend.
Interestingly, The Mirror reports that of the two witnesses who saw the crash, one claimed Dean was in the passenger seat, not the destroyed driver’s seat, and another became mysteriously wealthy after failing to testify.
The plot thickens…
