Long after their shock split, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are continuing to show commendable support to each other, setting a shining example for co-parents everywhere.

After proposing to Katherine Schwarzenegger, Chris reportedly texted Anna to share the happy news. And her extremely healthy and admirable response is living proof that exes don’t necessarily have to become bitter enemies.

Speaking on her warm and funny podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified, the 42-year-old comedic actor and all round decent person spoke about the moment her ex-husband shared the news with her:

Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night’. And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing’.

Big hearted Anna even proceeded to hint that she would even be up for conducting the ceremony herself:

And I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister’, I’m so happy for them.

Seriously, this is what it looks like when former couples are able to put all their past baggage to one side and move forward with grace and mutual admiration. Utterly applause-worthy and yet apparently doable.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star announced his engagement to Katherine, 29, with an emotional Instagram post, captioned:

Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!

Commenting on the post with commendable positivity, Anna wrote:

I’m so happy for you both!!! Congratulations!

39-year-old Chris has been dating Katherine for several months. A professional author and the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine is known to have a deep religious faith.

A source told People how the newly engaged couple will be wanting to tie the knot in a religious ceremony:

They’re going to want a religious wedding.

I know that Chris does, and I assume that she does, too. God is going to be a part of this marriage.

The source added:

[Chris is] constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her. She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen.

Anna has also moved on after the split, and is loved up with 48-year-old cinematographer Michael Barrett who she met while working on the set of Overboard.

Anna Faris’ Mom co-star, Alison Janney, made the following comments about their romance to E! in December 2017:

[Anna is] such an amazing…I can’t believe all the stuff she does, in addition to Mom she has her podcast and she teaches a class at USC and she’s got her new man who she seems—she seems just great, she’s really doing well and I’m so happy for her.

Alison added:

I met [Michael] once, he seems really lovely.

I don’t know him, but I’m happy for her. If she’s happy, I’m happy.

Here’s to exciting new beginnings for all involved. May we all try and be a little more like Anna when we hear happy news about our exes. Or, at the very least, we should stop naming cockroaches after them.
