Hands up if you’ve ever dreamed about travelling the world but just don’t have enough money to do it?
Or maybe you have the money because you’ve worked your butt off and managed to save some up, but you can’t get the time off work so you just sit there day after day, dreaming of the day you can get on that plane.
Whatever the reason, you can’t travel and you’re pissed off about it (hi). But what if I told you you could get paid to travel the world? Not only that, but you could get paid probably more than what you’re earning at this moment in time.
Well, now you can do exactly that as UK-based online photography marketplace Perfocal is advertising a job role for an ‘InstaScout,’ which lets you travel all over the UK and Europe and pays £50,000 per year.
Not only that, but all accommodation, food, and travel expenses will be covered. Okay so how do I hand in my letter of resignation?! Will this work?
The job description reads:
As an InstaScout for Perfocal you will be responsible for hunting down the most beautiful and best locations for photography backdrops, for shoots both big and small.
You’ll be expected to work closely with photographers across the country in order to gather the best information on aesthetic, appealing and technical criteria.
So what will be required of you as an InstaScout? Basically, you’ll need a valid passport as you’ll be travelling all over Europe, taking beautiful pictures for Instagram all while getting paid.
You’ll be expected to find the ‘most beautiful and best’ locations for photo shoots – both big and small – to save photographers from having to scout venues before a shoot, the job description explains.
Applicants aren’t necessarily required to have photographic experience, but the ideal candidate is expected to have an eye for detail, a flair for style, and should be able to find hidden gems that aren’t well known.
Tony Xu, founder of Perfocal, said:
At Perfocal, we pride ourselves on both innovation and creativity. We feel that this job role is a perfect mix of the two. We want to hire someone who has these traits and who can help our photographers continue to create amazing images.
Everyone deserves beautiful photographs and with this new role we can help would-be influencers make their feeds look amazing. I cannot wait to see what locations our new scout finds, and how our photographers can best make use of them.
Well, what are you waiting for? If you love to travel and, more importantly, love getting paid to travel, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
