ViralHogWatching people try and run in flip flops is never not funny – and, as it turns out, the users of the world wide web particularly enjoy watching a honeymooning couple running for a cruise ship and then missing it despite valiant efforts.
Never mind chasing sunsets… This ‘Instagram Travel Couple’ went viral for a fantastic example of honeymooning wanderlust gone wrong when they were captured on camera chasing after a bloody great big cruise ship. And failing.

The video was captured by an amused passenger on a neighbouring ship, which had docked opposite the ship the couple were travelling aboard – a Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas, which was scheduled to leave Nassau, in the Bahamas, at 4pm.
To make sure everyone was back on board on time, passengers were told to return to the ship by 3:30pm.
However, the unpunctual couple – who have revealed themselves via Instagram as María González Roesch and her husband – in question rocked up at 4:15pm.
They can then be seen trying to wave down the guy who drew in the gangway for passengers to alight and board the big boat, gesturing with their arms.
Without coming across too spiteful, you’ve got to admit it is quite funny to watch, as the ship, ever so slowly, pulls away from the dock, tantalisingly close to the couple who stand by watching aghast.
It’s an unexpected error for a woman who travels around the world to earn a living on social media and has the phrase ‘Travel ♡ Adventure’ in her IG bio.
But Maria has now come to her own defence. Obviously.
Maria, 26, explained on Instagram the cruise on the trip had always left ports at 5.30pm but on this particular day the ship had left earlier – albeit with prior warning.
The newlyweds had been given a new itinerary but didn’t read it and assumed – wrongly – the ship would leave on the same schedule as at other ports.
Talk about a little off-Insta reality check.
My money’s on this small misadventure not appearing on her carefully curated ‘grid’ anytime soon amid the stream of wedding pictures.
Maria also claimed they were not the only passengers stranded at Nassau with six others also making the same mistake.
She shared an article about the viral video on her Instagram Stories, joking they were absolutely not ‘vacay goals’ alongside the appropriate amount of crying laughing emoji faces.
