If you’re anything like me you’re probably craving a good month long holiday in the sunshine to get away from stress and strain of everyday life, not to mention the never-ending rain taking over the UK at the moment.

But, chances are you can only do so if your bank balance is in good health, so it’s pretty much a pipe dream for most of us.

However, that could all be about to change for one lucky person who’s being offered the chance to travel Croatia for a month at absolutely no cost.

Sound incredible? Well, there’s just one tiny catch – you must spend two weeks conducting marine research for the Blue World Institute, before spending two weeks travelling from the Istria Peninsula to Split, and then island-hopping all the way to Dubrovnik. Sounds like a bloody good deal to me.

Unforgettable Croatia needs one travel and nature enthusiast to help save the local marine environment by working with the Blue World Institute in conducting field research, sailing the ocean to monitor marine life populations and behaviours. While out at sea, the successful applicant could see up to 50 dolphins, too.

The chosen candidate will be officially enrolled on the Croatia Conservation and Exploration Scholarship, which will take place across four weeks in summer 2020.

If you fancy spending two weeks expanding your knowledge or marine life with lectures and other educational activities, in between exploring the Croatian town of Losinj and enjoying outdoor sports, snorkelling and swimming on beautiful beaches then applying for the scholarship is a no-brainer.

It only gets better because after two weeks of volunteering, you would be treated to a luxury seven-night tour from Losinj to Split, taking in Rovnij, Opatija, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Zadar and Split. The entire trip includes luxury 4-star accommodation and private transfers.

Reckon you’ve got what it takes? Well, you need to head to the Unforgettable Croatia website to get your application in before Monday July 9. You can apply on behalf of yourself or a friend, if you think they’d be the right fit for the job.

It doesn’t get much better than getting to travel and see a new part of the world, all the while helping contribute towards preserving marine life and overall making the world a better place.
