The internet can be used for the greater good, but there are people who come in and ruin it by being total, utter berks, for use of a better word.

When something bad happens, you can guarantee some people will jump on the chance to start trolling in some way or another.

The latest meme comes after legendary TV comedian Barry Chuckle died at the age of 73.

News of Barry’s death was announced just last week. He’d enjoyed a very successful career in comedy and television, spanning over 50 years.

Barry, whose real name was Barry Elliott, was born in Rotherham, Yorkshire, in 1944 and at the age of 23, he and brother Paul – as The Chuckle Brothers – won the talent show, Opportunity Knocks, in 1967.

His manager, Phil Dale, and brother, Paul, paid heartbreaking tributes following news of his death.

Manager, Phil Dale, said in a statement to the Press Association:

It is with great sadness that the family announce that Barry passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Ann and all his family.

The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who have been fans of the Chuckle Brothers and they know that they will share in part the great, great loss they feel.

In other recent news – and stay with me, it’s relevant – Ant McPartlin announced he won’t be presenting I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, alongside Declan Donnelly this year.

He has been undergoing rehabilitation since March, this year, after a relapse into an alcohol addiction, which culminated in a drink driving charge.

In a statement to The Sun, McPartlin confirmed he would be taking an extended leave of absence – at least until 2019. Which rules him out of any filming commitments, including I’m A Celeb, and the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

The 42-year-old, who rose to fame on BBC’s Byker Grove with Donnelly, stated:

My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.

I’d like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.

Ant and Dec agreed they did not want to jeopardise the show’s quality in McPartlin’s absence and felt putting the show on hiatus until his return was the best course of action.

So bearing all this news in mind… what has somebody gone and posted out there?

That is just sick that people have done that. Paul is going through a hard time because he lost his brother, his best friend and the other half of the Chuckle brothers double act. [sic]

Another added:

Chuckle brothers are irreplaceable and Ant and Dec are irreplaceable. Dec will always have Ant. They are best friends. And you do have to remember someone died here. [sic].

Probably leave this one alone, yeah?
