He’s known the world round for saving the world on Her Majesty’s Secret Service, but this week, Cheshire’s very own James Bond has been looking worse for wear, and not because he’s done something as ’emasculated’ as carrying his daughter around in a papoose.
ICYMI British actor Daniel Craig was called out on Twitter on Monday (October 15) by Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan for having the temerity of walking down the street with his child in arms.
Daytime telly dookie stirrer Morgan captioned a tweet with the image of Craig ‘Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond’.
Let’s leave to one side for a moment the small matter how 007 is a fictional character, and carrying your offspring being possibly the polar opposite of the definition of emasculation, because Craig has been papped again, and this time, he’s not looking well.

The Mail on Sunday report Craig was snapped this week at New York JFK airport looking a bit worse for wear, suggesting his six-week-old daughter with wife Rachel Weisz is giving him a harder time than Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
‘Wearing a flat cap and turned-up jeans, the 50-year-old battled through security with his baby girl, looking much more haggard than his usual suave secret agent image,’ the paper writes, because I can’t bring myself to churn out that kind of statement.
Craig, who’ll be returning a final time in the 25th Bond film next year, will pocket a reported £20 million for his fifth outing as the MI6 secret agent and saviour of the western world. Maybe he needs to put a little bit of that towards hiring a babysitter?
Anyway, let’s take a look at the poor bloke in a state, because we’re as evil as any foe he’ll ever come across on the silver screen.

Gonna pivot on this. I take back what I said about hiring babysitters. I don’t have kids. I don’t have a reported $95 million net worth. I’m sure as hell not married to Rachel Weisz. I do however look comparatively as knackered, and that’s only because I had to get up at 8am on a Sunday morning.
Daniel, we reckon you’re doing just fine.
Which is less than can be said about Bond 25 which hit a rocky point in August when Danny Boyle quit the project over ‘creative differences’.
The director of such films as Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, A Life Less Ordinary, The Beach, 28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, as well as the Bond-based short in the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony, makes way for Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, Maniac) to take over the chair.
Let’s just hope Daniel Craig’s got the energy to save the world again next time he has to throw on the tuxedo for filming.
Bond 25 is due for release in the UK on February 14, 2020.
