What happens at festivals stays at festivals, right?

Well, if you accidentally send your mum a photo of you being handed drugs at a festival then probably not.

That’s exactly what happened to one fella who innocently sent a photo of himself posing in a field at Electric Forest Festival to his mum.

Well, this is awkward:

22-year-old Logan went viral when he shared the hilariously incriminating photo on Twitter, telling his followers ‘sent this pic to my mom over the weekend and had no idea it was a live picture.’

What Logan later realised was that he’d sent a moving image of someone offering him an unknown substance during the festival which took place in Michigan at the end of June.

The Chicago-native’s post quickly went viral, with the short clip amassing nearly 3.7 million views, with many people quick to comment recalling similar mishaps.

One user commented ‘I was showing my mom forest pics last year on my phone and I accidentally scrolled to a picture of my hand holding a shit ton of shrooms lmao good times’

Another joked ‘It’s nice that you and your friends pass notes as festivals. So wholesome.’

Others suggested he should’ve passed it off as Tic Tacs or chewing gum instead of ‘snitching on himself’ on Twitter – but that would have been far less entertaining for the rest of us.

Although Logan replied, telling his followers ‘happy everyone enjoys my mom knowing I’m a crackhead,’ but luckily he followed it up revealing he’d had a very lucky escape.

The dad-of-one added:

She has no idea how to use the live pictures.

If y’all tell my mom how to use the live photos we are not friends.

Here’s to hoping Logan can trust the millions of people who have followed his tweets not to teach his mum how to use Twitter either, or he could find himself in quite a pickle.
