Here’s How Much Interns Make At Companies Like Facebook, Google And Snapchat

Before I secured this job, I interned a lot. Unfortunately, I never had the privilege of a paid internship, never mind one that pays as much as Snapchat.

My internships focused around scrawling up two stories a day for local newspapers which never ended up with my name on when they got published, as well sprinting back and forth from a photocopier and handing cups of coffee to red faced editors.

But it would appear that being the office servant is now a thing of the past, after Business Insider found out just how much some of the world’s top companies are paying out.

And it’s a lot…

Personally, the above post, which clearly shows salaries ranging from $6,000 to $10,000 a month, with benefits too, makes me feel violently sick with envy.

Apparently, Snapchat pays its interns nearly $10,000 (£6,846) per month, which means an intern at Snapchat could expect to rack up a soul destroying (for me, not for them) $120,000 (£82,154) a year.

More established companies, on the other hand, such as Amazon, Apple, and Google appear more likely to pay closer to $6000 (£4,107) per month. But, don’t worry, there’s a good chance that these companies will sort you out with some corporate housing. Lucky bastards.

Although the above tweet has not yet been confirmed as being 100 per cent legitimate, this tweet from two years back shows the intern salary at some similar companies – and it’s safe to say they fit right in.

I don’t know about you but I’m off to hand my CV into Snapchat…
