Randy Tenney, 65, from Arizona, USA, passed away last December after battling glioblastoma (a rare form of brain cancer) and, knowing he likely wouldn’t make it to Valentine’s Day, made sure his wife Debbie would still get flowers on February 14.
The moment Debbie received her last bouquet from Randy was filmed and, understandably, she burst into tears.

Randy wrote to Debbie on the card:
“Roses are red, Violets are blue, yelling from Heaven that I will always love you.” With love from your eternal Valentine, R.T.
The pair had been married since 1974 and were apparently childhood sweethearts.
Debbie shared the video and photos on Facebook saying how she ‘couldn’t think of anything sweeter’ and expressed how much she missed her late husband.
The post, which has been share 67,000 times, read:
Today I got a special delivery straight from heaven. Randy set this up before he passed away and I can’t think of anything sweeter. I miss my valentine so much. He’s the best
As well as his wife, Randy was survived by his eight children, 33 grandchild and six great-grandchildren.
Deb Taylor Tenney/FacebookApparently Randy had arranged the delivery ‘straight from heaven’ months in advance through a family friend who owned a flower shop.
Despite his busy schedule, Jordan (one of Randy and Debbie’s children) said his dad always made time for him and his siblings, adding that Randy was deeply rooted in the community and nearly 400 people attended his funeral.
Jordan said:
He had eight kids, but he always made me feel like an only child. His philosophy was scattering sunshine, spreading happiness.
Deb Taylor Tenney/FacebookAs well as it being shared on Debbie’s profile, the heartwarming story was shared on local news outlet WTHR-TV‘s Facebook with other widows commented on the post sending their condolences to Debbie.
One woman wrote:
I absolutely love this. Being a widow is exceptionally hard, and these little gestures really make an impact. I love that she has this gift from her love.

I lost my husband and soulmate on December 7, 2019. He always gave me a red rose for each year of our marriage. Yesterday the doorbell rang and there were my roses. “Love to Mama Bear from Papa Bear”. My daughter had made sure they were delivered.
One woman even compared Randy and Debbie’s story to a ‘real life P.S I Love You.
