Identical Twin Brothers Marrying Identical Twin Sisters Asked If They Fancy Each Other’s Fiancees

A pair of identical female twins have become engaged to a pair of identical male twins and naturally, one question about the two happy couples came up.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning, sisters Brittany and Briana Deane, 31, and brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers, 34, discussed the family dynamic.

In particular, Holly wanted to know the question on everyone’s lips about whether the twins found their sibling’s betrothed attractive or not.

The two couples who met each other at a twin convention – (no really) – admitted this was something they definitely had discussed:

Speaking to the unconventional four, Holly asked:

Can I ask you, because I think lots of people will be thinking this, your sibling’s fiancee looks just like your fiancee, so therefore, is it fair to say you’re attracted?

You find them attractive? They are attracted to you? I know this is a little awkward but you know what I mean – they look the same!

Taking it all in their stride, the four laughed it off as Briana admitted they do know what Holly means – but it just doesn’t go down like that.

Briana said:

We’ve discussed this. The truth of the matter is, I have an identical twin and we have a relationship, and I have a romantic relationship, and I have a brother and sister relationship.

It’s very separate.

Brittany added:

Of course, I think Jeremy is very handsome just as I think Josh is handsome. But I don’t feel romantically attracted to Jeremy.

I view him as a brother – Josh is the love of my life.

The two gentlemen proposed earlier this month – on the second day of the second month – in Twin Lakes State Park and they’re now planning a joint wedding in Twinsburg, for August.

The four are all planning on living together and social media just couldn’t handle all the twinning.

Interestingly enough, it seems to be conventional wisdom, if two sets of twins have kids, then their babies could actually be genetic twins rather than genetic cousins, because they’re sharing the same set of DNA. Therefore their DNA would be indistinguishable from each other.

Apparently, it would also be nearly impossible to identify their parents from their genetic make-up.

Sounds like a prime premise for a TV show about a set of criminal twins (twiminals?) who always get away with it because they fool the DNA tests every time.

Anyway, I digress.

People watching This Morning had mixed feelings about the quaternary marriage (which is the proper name for two twins marrying two twins), with some saying it was like an episode of Black Mirror or the scene from The Shining:

One person on Twitter wrote:

Just watching #ThisMorning. I’m a twin, but I don’t think I would cope if we married twins and lived in each other’s pockets everyday. And their kids would be siblings? Wth?

You love who you love, I suppose.

It’s definitely a great opportunity for some pranks to be pulled in the household though.

Besides, who are we to judge?
