The course was originally built to train members of the U.S Navy, but has now been opened up to the public as a 24-hour challenge.

To prepare for the event, Milla has been in training for nine months. She has worked five days a week for three hours a day and says the reason she is pushing herself so hard is to lead a movement she calls ‘inspiration for the iPad generation’.

She told CBS Local Miami:

I don’t want people to quit because they don’t believe in themselves – because someone else says that they can believe in themselves.

Milla, who was bullied in school, decided to empower herself by training with her dad and coach, Christian Bizzotto.

He said:

I think the bullying thing has died down – just because her outlook is so different now that she knows how to defend herself.

I used to be super heavy set. I changed my whole life to be an example for her and if she’s an example for other kids that’s mission accomplished.

If I had heroes, they are my daughter and my mom.

She’s our hero too, what an unbelievable achievement!
