I quote her because beauty, as I hope we all know, comes in all shapes and sizes.
For some, a certain Jeremy Kyle guest didn’t fit the expectations of society’s idea of what qualifies as ‘fit’.
Gemma Swift went viral when she appeared on the ITV daytime show. It was her protruding teeth which got everyone talking on social media, in her part of the episode titled, Stop harassing me just because I’m sleeping with your ex.
Gemma faced a load of flack online, which she claims led to her having a breakdown.
She said at the time:
After the show my teeth caused a social media meltdown. The abuse was terrible, I just wanted to cry. I actually had a breakdown.
Good sports (for the most part), The Jeremy Kyle Show stumped up £10,000 to sort her out some new teeth in one of the most incredible makeovers in TV history.
I mean, lol, considering it was partly The Jeremy Kyle Show’s fault she was abused in the first place, it was probably the very least they could do?
To make sure no-one called them out for BS, the whole thing was filmed.
Gemma has since posted some photos to Facebook which show her new smile in all its glory
Look at that. 10k later and it’s cya later to the haters. Gemma has flipped the bird to the system, it’s dreary adherents, and proven the possibilities are endless in the modern world.
